Thank You Beelers!

Clayton got to play with his friend Kate yesterday. They had a ton of fun and even went to the park! Big thanks to Megs for going out in public with me too. It was nice to go out for lunch! Megan, Matt, Kate and Pancho got Clayton a water table for his birthday. After his nap and after dinner we couldn't keep him inside. He went through a couple of pairs of clothes, but that is ok. He loves it! Thanks Beelers!

No Pics

Sorry no pics tonight. Just some funny stuff.

So Clayton has mastered the locks. He locked himself in his bedroom this morning and then again later. Justin caught him trying to lock himself in our bedroom too. Good thing we can break in! :)

Also, I realized today that as much as you try to influence your children nature is nature. My son is a male and somethings I have to live with. Such as, one of his screw drivers was laying on the floor by the front door tonight and I asked him to put it away. When I said away I meant in his toolbox where it belongs. After he went to bed I found it in the crock we have by the front door which was inches away from were it was on the floor. So typical you have to spell everything out. :) Love you honey!

Fun with Super Aunt Barb!!!

Clayton and Madeline are very lucky to have some fantastic Super Aunts and Uncles! Super Aunt Barb came to see us on Sunday and was able to stay for a couple of days! We had sooooo much fun. Clayton is even saying her name now. Super Aunt Barb cooked us a fabulous meal, made pancakes for Justin and Clayton, took Clayton to the library, cleaned my kitchen floors, yacked away with Mommy and snuggled a ton with Maddie! We even made our first trip to Target with her. :) I can't wait to show off some of the super cute clothes she got Maddie!

We love you tons Super Aunt Barb and can't wait to see you and Super Uncle Dale in a couple of months!

Madeline Elizabeth Murphy

"Goodnight little girls, Thank the lord you are well, and now go to sleep said Miss Clevel. And she turned off the lights, and shut the door. That's all there is, there isn't anymore."

My grandmother said this to my sister and I every night when we were little. This is the ending to the book Madeline, and how Justin and I came up with our little girl's name. (Pronounced "line" not "lynn") We were sooooo excited to welcome our little girl on Tuesday, April 6 at 9:42 am. She was 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.

After my appointment on Monday we had talked to the doctor and decided it was best to get the baby here and not wait till the next week. Justin and I got to the hospital at 7:30am and Maddie was here just a couple of hours later. Everything went great and she came out making lots of noise! The best thing I could ever hear!! We were able to leave the hospital early and came home on Friday. It is wonderful being home with Clayton, Maddie and Justin.

Clayton is a great big brother and is always saying "hi baby". Big brother will be celebrating his 2nd birthday tomorrow! Oh how time flies!

My Kids on a Sunday Night

Not many words needed. I love my kids and even better they love each other. These two are best friends.

It's Hard Work Being Almost 2!

Clayton has done a great job sleeping in his big boy bed. We usually go in and check on him after a little bit when he goes down for a nap. The below picture is what we found today. :) I think he was tired. :) He has his Illini blanket with him and his puppy dogs. He has not ever really had an attachment to any toys, animals, blankets, etc. Now he loves to carry around his blanket and puppies when he is getting ready to sleep. I told Justin it figures he would like a fleece blanket when it is 80 degrees out. Big thanks to Megan Busacker though for the Illini blanket.

Easter Eggs!!!

Tonight was the first step in the Easter Egg Decorating process. :) Clayton had fun, but I think he is going to enjoy putting stickers, etc. on them more. We will do that tomorrow! More pics to come.
