Always Coming up With a New Idea!

Clayton decided the other day that it might be fun to move the little table into the pool so he could sit on it and kick his feet in the water. He is such a goofball!

P.S. He loves his Moo Cow shirt Grandma B!

Transportation Museum

Last Saturday we ventured out to the St. Louis Transportation Museum. We all know how much Clayton loves, planes, trains and automobiles so it was a pretty safe bet that he would have fun. Unfortunately it was so hot out we didn't get to look at everything. A lot of their trains, etc are outside. We agreed we will have to go back this fall. I think Mimi and Papa are going to come next time. Clayton did get to ride the small cho cho and sit in the engineers seat in one of the big trains. Madeline liked the train ride too, the wind was blowing in her hair! :) They are building a new visitors center that will be open next Spring, so that will be neat. I recommend this for anyone making a trip to the Lou!

Off to Kate's House We Went

We went to the Beeler's house to play last Friday. Clayton loves playing with Kate and all her toys. I took my camera, but we were having too much fun and I didn't get any pics. We can't wait for Baby Beeler #2 to get here!

The night before we went, I told Clayton we were going to Kate's. He got his suitcase and his Dad's car keys. Apparently he had plans to stay for awhile and drive himself. :)

Cool Clayton on his way to Kate's!

Bubble Beard!

Clayton doesn't really take baths much anymore, showers are so much easier. The other day it was way to hot to play outside in his pool so I let him fill the bath with bubbles and play in there instead. He had a bunch of fun. We were both sporting bubble beards. (I didn't take a pic of mine :)

Hard Days Work

Madeline is sitting in her Bumbo seat now and loves to look around at everything. As you can see this is hard work! What a drama queen! :)

A New Princess Has Been Crowned!

Our family has always been a monarchy. My mom was the Queen Mum, me the Queen and of course Anna the Princess! (Dad, I will say you were King) I think Anna was the one who utilized her title the most. :) Well Aunt Anna decided that she needed to step down and have someone else crowned Princess. (FYI, Anna this was your choice, you don't get to become Queen just because you crowned someone else princess) So, Aunt Anna got Maddie a Princess onesie! It was adorable and Madeline is already living up to her title.

Speaking of Aunt Anna, Clayton and Maddie wanted to make sure she knows how proud they are of her and her new job! Aunt Anna is one of the new counselors at Champaign Centennial High School! We know you will do great. We love you Aunt Anna!

Weekend of Fun!

Last weekend we had some awesome family time! Mimi and Papa came on Wednesday night and Aunt Anna and Uncle David came on Friday. Mimi and Papa took us out to breakfast, went on some shopping excursions, played and played! The boys had fun on Friday grilling ribs, having a few beverages(ha ha) and playing some baseball. We had 4 great babysitters on Saturday night so we could go to an event for Justin's work. Clayton got to go to our subdivision pool with Mimi and Papa a couple times and then on Saturday Aunt Anna and Uncle David went too!

Madeline loved all the cuddle time. Clayton was super excited that Mimi and Papa helped expand his Thomas the Train set. Mimi even used a box from Striderite to build a tunnel for his cho cho! I love that Uncle David gets the kids books! He had to sit down and write in about 7 of them though, silly mommy always wants the kids to know who got them the books. Oh and we can't forget the water bottle Aunt Anna got him. He is obsessed with that! :) My children are spoiled!!

We love you guys and can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks in Galena!!! P.S. Weekends like that reinforce the need for my July New Years Resolution!!!!!!

TROUBLE!

Oh Boy, these two are going to be something!

Miss Maddie Boo

Oh Madeline, this is your mother. I want you to know you are growing waaaayyyy to fast! I can't believe our little girl will be 4 months old soon. It is amazing how big she is. We go to the doctor in August for her 4 month check up and I will be curious to see how much she weighs. She is so much fun and already has a huge personality. (Sassy like her Mommy) She loves watching her brother and Keely, she thinks they are really funny. She is starting to play with her toys and loves the pink poodle that the Beelers gave her. I think she has whole conversations with Pinky. Maddie is a great cuddler and sleeps like a champ! Her normal routine since we got home from the hospital is to go to bed around 9pm, feed around 11pm and then sleep till 8am or so. I think I have been up in the middle of the night maybe twice.

Maddie Boo is now her official nickname. That is all Clayton calls her. I am sure she will have to go to therapy for this some day, but it is really cute especially when Clayton says it. Here are some various pictures from July. We love you baby girl!

Rewind back to Fathers Day

I wanted to have Clayton help with his Father's Day present to Justin this year. So I got a matted frame from Target and had him do some finger painting on the mat. I also put finger paint on Madeline's foot so she could contribute as well. It turned out awesome! (I just need to get it hung in Daddy's office now)

I wanted to take a pic of the 2 of them to put in it. Not so easy when trying this alone. :) I told Clayton he had to hold Maddie's head up. He took that literally as you can see by the first pic. The second pic was the winner. Not perfect, but daddy loved it!

Fun Weekend in Harvel/Pawnee!

Two weekends ago we headed north for a visit. We had dinner with two of my college friends, Megan and Megan and their husbands. Crazy, yes my roommate's name was Sarah and then across the hall two girls who would become great friends, Megan and Megan. What was U of I thinking? Oh well, I am so happy they put us there. Oh and I don't have much to say about the other Sarah other than she collected Frutopia labels. :) It was so nice to see Megan and Scott's new house. Clayton had a ton of fun playing with his friend Kate. They got to explore the garden and the church that Scott is a minister at. I don't think they will be asked to play the piano on Sunday anytime soon.

We then headed to Pawnee to stay with Grandma and Grandpa B for the rest of the weekend. I don't have any pictures, but Clayton went to the zoo with Grandma, Aunt Heather and Aunt Shannon. I was told I couldn't post the picture, but Clayton conned Grandma into going down the slide! Justin and I were able to spend the evening at some friends house on Saturday night. Maddie tagged along with us. Then on Sunday we had a dinner with the Great Grandparents.

It was a super nice weekend! P.S. I am posting like crazy so scroll down for more! :)

Catching up on the Last Few Weeks-Cho Cho Train

Over the next couple of days I hope to get all caught up. I feel like I haven't talked about what we have been up to for ages! We have been having tons of fun though so I don't feel too bad. :) Did I mention that 15 weeks for a maternity leave is waaaaaay to short!

A couple of weeks ago Justin mentioned that there were some old cho cho trains in downtown St. Charles by the river. Clayton has become somewhat obsessed with trains so we knew he would love this. We decided to go down one evening to check it out. Clayton definitely loved seeing the train and even got to see some barges on the river.

Clayton and his Puppy Keely on the way to the trains!

Small rocks=Clayton needs to play on the ground!

Slacker!

I know I have been slacking on the blog. Posting pictures, but not giving many updates. :) I need to catch up this weekend, but wanted to get this picture up. Clayton loves the water and I think he is really going to be a fish! We are lucky and have a neighborhood pool. Clayton and Daddy were working on his kicking technique.
