Need a Smile?

We had Madeline's 4 month pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. They turned out great! We can hardly beleive she is almost 5 months old. At her 4 month appt she weighed in at 11lbs 13 oz and was 24 inches long!! Love my kiddos!

Chef Clayton

Clayton helped Daddy make some yummy steaks for Mommy's Birthday! He even ate some of the steak marinade stuff. Yikes. I had a great day with my kiddos and Justin. Still loving being in my 20s!

Papa's Birthday Weekend

A couple of weekends ago we went to Galena for a fast weekend trip. We were celebrating papa's birthday, seeing Super Aunt Barb and doing some fun wedding activities! It was a short trip, but as usual we had a blast.

Crafty Mimi (OK, really Crafty Megan Kane)

So if you know Mimi, you know she has many talents. She is an awesome gardener among other things! Well, crafting is not really her thing. I have to say I am impressed with her on this one. She got the idea from the Craft Queen of Galesburg. (Megan, I wish I had half of your creativity) Megan had made a frame post-it-note holder as a Teacher Appreciation gift. Well since Anna has just started her counseling career at Champaign Centennial, mom wanted to make one for her for her desk. She found a old frame and did a little bit of "crafting" to it and below is what she made. Super cute and super easy! Thanks for the idea Megan!

First Day of School

Clayton and Maddie's first day of "school" was Monday. I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures and Clayton had a nice shiner for his first day. He got in a fight with the stool and the stool won. :) They both did great and of course mom was in way worse shape.

Smiley Girl!

Madeline is a smiley girl!
She was hanging out in big brother's chair.

Hot Dog!

Keely might be the only one in St. Louis that is enjoying sunbathing in the 103 degree heat. I guess when you have the option to come inside 5 min later and lounge in the AC on the couch a little sun time doesn't feel so bad. Lucky Dog!

Catching a Cardinals Game

Clayton and Daddy were able to catch a Cardinals game. Clayton has been calling Fred Bird, "Yellow Bird" because of his yellow legs and beak. He had tons of fun going to the game. My boys are cute!

4 Months, Where Did The Time Go?

Our little Madeline will turn 4 months this week. I don't know where the time went? I really feel like yesterday Justin and I were on our way to the hospital and she was in my arms for the first time. It makes me very sad to be back to work tomorrow. I have had so much fun being home. Cuddling with Maddie has been the best. Watching her grow, start making all kinds of noises, laughing, start watching her brother and sister Keely, start sitting in her Bumbo chair and play with Pinky her puppy. Clayton is at that age that his vocabulary is exploding and he is putting lots of words together. He is so much fun to play with. We had many days out in the backyard playing in his pool, "grilling", playing at the water table and he was always helping me mow. We read a ton of books, we should have participated in the reading program at the library because he would have kicked butt! We had great excursions to not only the library, but also to the park, tot lot, play dates and more. All the hugs and kisses have been awesome! These are days I would have never been able to get back and I am so happy I had every moment with them. I think we tend to forget in the madness of everyday life that we only get one chance at this and we better make the most of it! Life is just way to short.

Thank you to my wonderful husband for being supportive of me staying home so long. Stay tuned, there could be some changes coming soon for us! I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I will make this short as I can barley see the computer screen. I know it is only 3 days that I have to make it through, but UGH! We are looking forward to a fun weekend in Galena and Papa's birthday.
