Clayton and Keely

I mean how many times is it going to take before I realize you can't turn the camera. Sorry this will be sideways! :) Clayton and Keely were playing in his room and this is what I found. :)

Wheelbarrow Fun!

Clayton and daddy went to meet Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Heather for breakfast this morning. Mommy had to stay home with Keely. Keely cut her leg playing outside yesterday and had to go to the vet. She is fine, but we didn't want her licking it. Needless to say Keely and Mommy laid on the couch! Clayton got to have some yummy pancakes and got his Easter present, part of which can be seen below! He loved it, especially since he watched Justin with the big wheelbarrow all day yesterday. We got mulch and got it all spread. Justin did an awesome job. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa B for the wheelbarrow!

NCAA Tournament Time

I have a feeling this will be a picture recreated for years to come. This was watching some NCAA basketball, but the same thing could be seen during football season. :) I love my boys!

38 Weeks

38 weeks down, 2 to go! Wow does time fly. We have been busy going to the doctor. I have weekly appointments now. My doctor was a little concerned the baby was small so I had an ultrasound last week. The baby is measuring a little small, but the doctor was not concerned. Today I had some testing to make sure the baby was moving the way it should, etc. The baby passed with flying colors. We were all ready though just in case since the doctor said if they didn't see great results or there was low fluid they would deliver. I am glad everything went well, and the baby didn't have to come today. The baby can come tomorrow though! :) We are so excited and I am so ready. I feel like we are selling our house as I try to keep it completely clean, all laundry done, etc. It is nice though to know I don't have anything as far as cleaning to do for the weekend. We have no big plans, just lots of walks if the weather cooperates to get this little one on the way! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Oh the Life!

Justin took this with his phone today. All of us are working, but Keely decided she needed to get some Vitamin D and relaxation so she she laid out in the sun for 20 min this afternoon. After that she decided that she had worked enough and got on the couch to take a nap. She cracks me up and is so smart!

Enjoying the Spring Weather

The weather was so great on Thursday and Friday. We were able to go to the park on Friday evening and spend lots of time in the backyard. It is chilly today, but hopefully soon it can warm up and stay that way so we can put all of Clayton's outside toys in the backyard. Clayton loves to throw the ball to Keely and she is equally loving this weather!

Clayton thought he was big stuff climbing the rock wall.

Clayton loved running around in the backyard. He just had to watch out for "landmines" :)

Action shot, throwing the ball to Keely

It was a little colder this morning, hence the sweatshirt. Clayton likes to look through the fence to see the cars.

Fun With Aunt Anna!!!

Aunt Anna was here from Saturday until Wednesday. We all had so much fun with her! Clayton got to stay home with her for most of the week and they played and played! They even got to be outside and take a wagon ride. Anna helped me a ton getting things ready around the house and doing some major cooking. We are so lucky that Aunt Anna wanted to spend some of her spring break with us! We love her so much and can't wait to see her and Uncle David soon!

Aunt Anna helped Clayton do some coloring. Got to love the purple marker on his nose. :)

Keely is a SAINT!!!!!

Some days Keely gets a bad wrap for trying to eat Clayton's food or being a little too excited, but we could not have asked for a better dog. Especially with children she is fabulous! Aunt Anna was here babysitting and was taking pics of these two and happened to capture this. Of course we do not condone this behavior and I have actually never seen Clayton do this before. Usually he is giving her hugs and kisses. None the less, kids will be kids and Keely is the best!

Keely thinks she can sit in Clayton's mini chair.

I don't know if Clayton was mad she was in the chair or just messing around, but he has a good amount of skin in his mouth. Notice Keely is doing nothing.

I am guessing she is licking where he just bit her. He didn't hurt her, but jeez. Thank you Keely for being tolerant of your brother. I know you two are best buds. I think she figures it is worth it to take it since he is her source of yummy food. :)

Anna Willy's Fault

I saw Anna Willy do this and I thought she was cool so I did it and my parents asked me if I was a part of a toddler gang. I just wanted to be like the big kids. It is all my Aunt Anna's fault. My life will never be the same.

Saturday Fun!

Missouri has a great program through the school districts called Parents for Teachers. They have early childhood educators that come to make visits to your house during the school year to do screenings and they have fun events. We took Clayton to a reading program today. They had guest readers like firefighters who read stories, he got to see Clifford the Big Red Dog, get a free book and play with lots of trucks too! Clayton's favorite part was getting to go outside and see the firetruck. Apparently this was a very serious thing as you can see in the pictures. :)

Daddy & Clayton sitting at the front of the firetruck!

Knocking on the door, I think he thought there was someone inside.

Clayton got to sit in the fire fighter's seat!

Looking Way Too Old After a Haircut!

Clayton got his haircut yesterday. This was his third haircut, I have trimmed it in between. He actually sat on his own this time. We went to a place that is called Sports Clips and he got to watch the cardinals game on his own personal TV while getting his haircut. How ridiculous, but cute!

Hello March, Let's be Friends!

Here is a pic of the Prego lady. Sorry I didn't get dressed up for you! :)

The Murphy family is happy to see March come and that February is over. We had a bit of a rough month. Clayton started off having pink eye, luckily my parents didn’t get it since they were passing through on their way to Arizona. Then I got sick. I was a mess for about 11 days with what I think was Bronchitis and then the stomach flu. My mom got sick when they got back to Galena and then Justin unfortunately got the flu and ended up in the hospital. Thankfully, Shannon and Justin’s mom were able to come down and stay for a night to help while Justin was in the hospital. We are all well now and hoping to stay that way!

Pregnancy has been the bright side! I am in my 35th week, and have been doing great. Baby Murphy is growing and moving a lot. I had a doctor’s appointment today and everything was good. I will go back in 2 weeks and hopefully find out if the baby is head down. Cross your fingers for us! We were able to get out all the baby stuff this weekend and get things cleaned up. We should be pretty good to go after this weekend.

As you probably saw, we moved Clayton into his new room and big boy bed. Last night he did really well and then tonight he cried for maybe 1 minute and is already asleep. I am so glad we decided to do this before the baby comes. I think he feels like a big boy and we have tried to make a big deal every morning about what a good boy he is.

Justin’s mom came back down on Friday and played with Clayton so I could get my haircut and run some errands. He had lots of fun with Grandma and even got a yummy breakfast! We can’t wait for Aunt Anna to come down in a couple of weeks! She is awesome and is spending some of her Spring break with us. She and I are going to do a cook and freeze night so we have a bunch of meals done and I don’t have to cook for awhile once the baby gets here.

We hope everyone has a great start to March and that Spring is around the corner!
