Justin in Cincinnati!

So, as many of you know, Justin's Horace Mann Insurance office is closing. They were scheduled to start laying off people at the end of the year and be officially closed by February or so. We found this out in July and Justin has been applying and interviewing for jobs ever since. Of course with the economy the way it is jobs are not plentiful. Justin has been working so hard to do his job and find another. I know it was stressful for him. We got wonderful news about a week before Christmas that Justin was being offered a job with Cincinnati Insurance. He will be working out of the house doing auto, home and commercial claims adjusting. He gets a car and they provide everything for his office which is great! He is in Cincinnati this week doing orientation and picking up his car.

We are so thankful that we do not have to worry about him not having a job. Of course Nana and Grandpa said they would take care of Clayton even if Justin and I had to live on the streets! HA HA HA We will miss Justin's co-workers at Horace Mann and wish all of them the best. I am sure we will stay in contact. Thank you for everyones thoughts, prayers, and contacts!!!!!

Congrats! That is great news! So, will you guys have to move to Cincinnati or is he working out of the home from where you guys are at now?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We loved your card! Also, I like your slide show. Jeff was jealous and said your blog is better than ours!

How awesome that he gets to work from home! I am starting a study program this week to be a medical transcriptionist from home- even at one day a week I HATE leaving Eli. And hey, love that you are on twitter!

I'm glad it's all working out! If he needs any pointers on working from home, let me know! I've been doing it for 3 years now and I LOVE IT!

As a matter of fact, you don't have to have a medical background. It's a diploma program and you can do it all online. I'm using the MTec program, it seemed to be the most comprehensive and reputable. I think working part-time you can make pretty good money and get benefits (which is what I was interested in) but your pay is based on productivity to it may take time to work up being good. Let me know if you want some websites for resources!

The program that I am using is M-Tec, their website is mtecinc.com. The governing association for programs has a website with all the approved schools on it, it's http://www.ahdionline.org/scriptcontent/mtapproved.cfm. I just got my first shipment yesterday and am getting started, I'll let you know how it's going! I can also email you a spreadsheet I made comparing all the programs- you might find it useful, ocd, but useful :)
