Ali and Clayton's first lunch date!

Clayton in the cute and warm Santa's Helpers outfit Ali got him.

So, I am a little behind on a few posts! A month or two ago, Clayton, Justin and I went to lunch with Ali. Ali is one of Clayton's favorite nurses from SLCH. She now lives in Kansas City and works at the Children's Hospital there. We had such a great time catching up that I forgot to get a picture of them together. We will have to do that next time! Ali was so sweet to send a package for Christmas. I think it was Justin's favorite Christmas gift. If you are a parent you will understand. We had a great nose sucker, also known as a bulb syringe from the hospital. Well, Keely thought it was a chew toy and destroyed it. We bought one at the store, but they are just not as good. So Ali was kind enough to get us two new ones!!! She also sent Clayton an adorable outfit! We are thankful everyday for the wonderful job that nurses and doctors do! We hope to see you soon Ali!

Good Luck Grandpa and the Silver Streaks!

Of course if you know my dad he will say I shouldn't put this on the blog, but we are so proud of Grandpa. Clayton wanted to make sure everyone knew how great of a coach he will have as his personal coach soon! Grandpa's last home swim meet will be tomorrow (Monday). There was a great article in the newspaper on Saturday. I have posted the link below. Good luck grandpa, love you! We can't wait to see you Friday!

Clayton and Daddy go Fishing

Clayton and Daddy went fishing tonight with the fishing pole Clayton got from Santa. Clayton wants to be ready to go fishing with Great-Grandpa Clayton, Grandpa, his Super Uncles, Uncle David and Daddy this summer. I would say it was a success! He didn't even lose his pole Uncle Buck! :)
P.S. Needed to make a quick note. Clayton should be a good fisherman, because his mommy always was! She even caught Aunt Anna's ear with a hook. Talk about good aim!

Um, Dad there is a starfish on my pole.

Look what I caught Mommy!

Yummy, I like these fish!

Grandpa Hubbartt

Clayton and his Great-Grandpa Hubbartt

We lost a very important part of our family last Saturday. Justin's Grandpa Hubbartt past away. He was a wonderful man. He had such an influence on Justin and I couldn't help but love him since he was a huge Illini fan. :) Clayton was so lucky to have met him and we will tell him all about his Great Grandpa.

Keely our "Big" Baby

So, the Friday before Justin left for Cincinnati, he and Keely were playing in the back yard. She got a little too excited about getting her ball and ran her foot into the fence. She tore her toe nail off and had to go to the vet to have the rest of it removed, her foot bandaged and to get pain pills. I think she must have really put on a show to get the pain pills. :) She was fine, but we had to keep it covered for a couple of days. Mommy thought the bandage was ugly so I let her borrow a couple of my socks so she could look stylish! Needless to say she is healing just fine and is back to her silly self.

Keely in her football sock!

She had to act a little dramatic for this picture so she lifted her leg!

Justin in Cincinnati!

So, as many of you know, Justin's Horace Mann Insurance office is closing. They were scheduled to start laying off people at the end of the year and be officially closed by February or so. We found this out in July and Justin has been applying and interviewing for jobs ever since. Of course with the economy the way it is jobs are not plentiful. Justin has been working so hard to do his job and find another. I know it was stressful for him. We got wonderful news about a week before Christmas that Justin was being offered a job with Cincinnati Insurance. He will be working out of the house doing auto, home and commercial claims adjusting. He gets a car and they provide everything for his office which is great! He is in Cincinnati this week doing orientation and picking up his car.

We are so thankful that we do not have to worry about him not having a job. Of course Nana and Grandpa said they would take care of Clayton even if Justin and I had to live on the streets! HA HA HA We will miss Justin's co-workers at Horace Mann and wish all of them the best. I am sure we will stay in contact. Thank you for everyones thoughts, prayers, and contacts!!!!!
