Clayton is Soooo Proud of Grandpa and the Streaks!

Nana, Grandpa and Clayton
We were so excited to take Clayton to his first swim meet this weekend. As many of you know, my parents are retiring this year. This will also be my dad's last year coaching. We are so proud of him. It was a great meet to go to, and Clayton loved looking at the water and the guys swimming. Galesburg won the meet, making it 10 times that my dad has had a team win the conference! Clayton was a little disappointed that when Grandpa got pushed in the water, he didn't have any of his bath toys with him so they could play! They also honored my dad at the meet during one of the breaks. All the swimmers lined up to make a tunnel and they called my parents up. Clayton got to go with them through the tunnel. You can see in the picture above that Clayton is listening intently while the other coach talks about my dad! Way to go Streaks, and Good Luck next week at Sectionals Grandpa!

Congrats to your Dad! I'm sure Clayton loved being in the spotlight! He is adorable. I need to look at those photos and let you know what I want to order : )

Clayton has every reason to be proud of his Grandpa. He is a wonderful, hardworking, and caring coach...let alone an awesome grandpa. The "coach" in him has brought out the best in so man, many kids....HUGE shoes to fill.
