Mr. Clayton is SO BIG

Clayton had a doctors appointment on Monday and he has gained 3 lbs! He is up to 7lbs 14oz! He also grew 3 inches and is 19 3/4 inches. He was such a good boy and only cried a little when he got his 3 shots. He was glad that Aunt Anna came with mommy to see his doctor. Aunt Anna was able to come on Friday and stay to babysit on Monday and Tuesday this week. Keely and Clayton loved having her babysit. Aunt Anna claims she is the only one that has not been squirted by Clayton. :) We wish she could stay, but she had to go back to work today and Clayton knew Uncle David missed her!

We had a nice cookout with friends this last weekend even though it was horribly hot out. Keely loved all the little kids who were her height. We did laugh at how different BBQs have become with children running around. We continue to stay busy and got some unexpected news last week from Justin's job. They announced they are shutting down his office at the end of the year. We don't know what this means for us right now, but we are sure it will all work out. We hope everyone is having a good week. Happy 1st Birthday Keely!

Wow, it is hard to believe that Keely turned 1 on July 5th. It seems like just yesterday that we were pulling out of Jeff & Nikki's driveway with her. She is such a wonderful part of our family. For those of you that have dogs, you know what wonderful companions they are. I was telling Nikki & Jeff that we had no idea when we got Keely what our life had in store for us. Keely has made some pretty hard days more bearable. One day in particular I was having a hard time and she came in our room and laid next to me with her head on my side. She is a great big sis too! She is just a really sweet girl, with tons of energy of course. Thank you Nikki and Jeff for choosing us to be Keely's family. We look forward to many more birthdays.

I have some pics of Keely and Ellie at "Keely's Birthday Party", but they are on my mom's camera so I will get those up later. We did all (Nana, Aunt Anna, Uncle David, Mommy and Daddy) sing Happy Birthday to her! I hope we didn't hurt her ears.

Along with some treats, Keely got a brand new bed from Orvis for her birthday!

Ok, so she still loves laying on the couch! I think she would prefer if we laid on her bed so she could stretch out more on "her" couch!

Jeez, Clayton's Followers are on My Case!!!

I have been a little neglectful of the blog. We have been really busy with me starting back to work and the 4th of July weekend. I thought I better get something up because people were starting to get on my case! :)

We had a great 4th of July. We started off the week with a visit from the Ruehmers. Katie made us a wonderful scrapbook of Clayton's adventures so far! It is awesome. Then we left on Thursday night to go to Nana and Grandpas in Galesburg. Clayton was so excited to go on his first big trip. Aunt Anna and Uncle David got Clayton his first ISU outfit. They felt bad for Justin because Clayton is already so U of I brainwashed! We were able to spend the 4th with Marissa and Jeremy before they leave for Germany. I told them I thought Nana was going to buy Justin and I airplane tickets to go visit so her and grandpa can babysit Clayton! The rest of the weekend was spent with family. We had a nice afternoon with my grandparents, aunt, uncle, cousins, Aunt Anna and Uncle David on Saturday. Then our road trip continued on Sunday when we went to Grandma and Grandpa B's for a BBQ. Clayton got to meet some of his great-grandparents for the first time. It was a wonderful weekend, but it is nice to be home and relax a little. I am so looking forward to tomorrow and Thursday since I will be home with Clayton. We have all kinds of plans to read, play and clean!!!! Hope everyone has a great week!
