Sarah's Big Day Out!`

(Not a great pic as I look tired, but obviously can't spend much time up so had to snap fast)

Well, as many of you know I am now on bed rest after the twins decided they would test things out and send us to the hospital last Saturday night. Leave it to my kids to have a mind of their own and to already be testing their parents. Things seem to be under control now and with the help of some medicine to relax my uterus we haven't had too many problems. The twins did get steroid shots to help develop their lungs in case they can't wait to come out. Luckily, I think congress has wrapped up their investigation into steroids so they should be safe when they come out! :) No, Justin it doesn't mean they will be throwing spirals on the day they are born. Justin has been great and is taking wonderful care of me and the babies. The poor guy has to do everything, I can't even get socks out of my sock drawer anymore! We were very lucky, as Anna was here last weekend for Easter, so she was able to take care of Keely and helped us out around the house a ton. She is going to be a great Aunt!

I did have a big day out today, as I had a doctor's appointment. Who knew I could get so excited about putting on a pair of shoes and sitting in the Highlander! I will have to say it felt good to actually do my hair and put some make-up on. The doctor said everything was good, and to just keep on doing what I am doing. The twins are really growing now!

Wanted to also give everyone a sneak peak at the nursery. It is kind of hard to capture it in a picture, so everyone will have to come visit and see it in person! Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I should be posting more often since I have a little time on my hands!

The Countdown is On!

I start with a picture because as some of my friends pointed out, Meggie! They get on the blog to see my ever growing stomach. :) I am thinking about charging to log on, $20 and you get to see the big belly lady! I will have to say I do feel like a freak show sometimes. I am sure Justin enjoys watching me try to get socks on in the morning and how my feet have become hands so that I don't have to bend over. Even though my mobility is decreasing by the day, I feel great and I am loving being pregnant! It is hard to believe I am already at the 29 week mark. Most likely they will take me at 37 weeks if I already haven't gone, so that is just 8 weeks away! We can't wait for our babies to get here, but we are thankful for everyday they stay inside me and keep growing.

We have been busy the last three weeks traveling for showers and working on the house. When I say we, I mean I have been going to showers and Justin and his crew (Matt, Tommy, Mom and Dad) have been busy working on the house. Justin's friend Matt came down and took out our banister and put a half wall up around the stairs. (I have to plug Matt's business, Glacier Hills Construction) I love Justin, but I thought I was going to kiss Matt when he got this done! He is a great friend! Tommy fixed a pluming problem we were having. Mom and Dad, well they basically did it all. Last weekend Justin and Dad, put up cribs, put in a closet organizer, moved furniture and much more. My mom is now a member of the St. Louis Merry Maids. She cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.

We are looking forward to staying put here soon as the closer it gets the closer to St. Louis I need to be. Keely is doing great and doesn't seem to be fazed by all the action. She still thinks my stomach is growing so she has a better pillow. We know she will be a great big sister! Hope everyone is doing well and I will get more pics up soon!

Fun Trips and Bigger Belly!

We were able to make a trip to Savoy/Champaign to see Anna and David last weekend. We had a wonderful time and Keely is already asking when she can play with Uncle David again! :) Anna treated us to some great meals, and believe me I am always thankful when someone else cooks! We also got to go to Bloomington on Saturday and visit some friends, so that was fun too.

The time seems to be flying by. Justin and I had our first prenatal class last weekend and have another this Saturday. I think Justin has a new appreciation for exactly what is going to happen when these two little ones come. (out of me) We have quite a few things done in preperation, but need to get the room together. We are hopefully picking out carpet this weekend and then Justin will get started painting the room! I am 25 weeks now, here is an updated pic!

My Belly Grows!!!

Ok, so I have been very shy about sharing belly pics and have only taken them at the request of Justin. I finally feel like my bump looks like a baby bump and not like I just ate too much for lunch, so I thought I would share. We are getting so excited. We got one of the cribs my parents bought us and Justin is going to lock himself in the room and put it together tomorrow. (Right honey!!!!!) My next appointment is February 1st, and hopefully we will have another ultrasound a week or so after that. It is so fun to see them moving around. TheMurphettes are very busy already, kicking each other and doing back flips. This is a good thing, because they only have a short time until it will be way to cramped for them to move around much. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

What a wonderful holiday! We were able to really enjoy some great times with family over the last couple of weeks. We went to Taylorville this year for Christmas. We ate way too much food, enjoyed a night with our friends Matt & Megan, and had a great time with Justin's family. Keely really likes the whole Santa idea and cleaned up on Christmas gifts. She even had her own stocking. We came home for a couple of days after Christmas and then headed north. We were able to take my grandparents in to Rockford to my Aunt's before they left for AZ. It was great to see everyone, and we had quite the road trip. :) We then returned to Galena to spend New Years with my mom, dad, sister, and David at the farm. Justin took Gold Medal in the sledding competition, David was a close Silver. (We won't mention that my mom was the judge and Justin mentioned to her that he was giving her 2 grandchildren) After the warm-up, everyone headed to the slopes for some skiing and snowboarding at Chesnut. I kept a watchful eye and enjoyed some hot chocolate in the lodge. I was relieved that no emergency room trips were needed. My parents were very impressive, I was just worried my mom would think she was Picabo. We wrapped up our travels in Galesburg on New Years Day to watch Illinois play in the bowl game. Not the outcome we wanted, but a great year after some horrible seasons. As we settle in back home, we are busy getting ready for the babies and working on some projects around the house. We were able to go see Wicked at the Fox last week. Justin got us the tickets as an anniversary present. It was a great show! Hope everyone is doing well!

P.S. Keely is anxiously awaiting the arrival of possibly 7 brothers and sisters this week. Her mom Lilly is due on Saturday!

Keely with her new coat! Our little girl gets quite cold in the snow!
