Missing Camera Cord

Clayton's mom needs to tape the camera cord to her head. I have lost the cord for the moment so I will have to get a new picture up later. Our little guy had a big day today! He got his first football from Uncle David and we are sure by his long fingers that he will be a great wide reicever. He also wore a cute little outfit that Nana got him. (This was after he pooped through his diaper, outfit and blanket while mom was holding him)

We have such exciting news! Clayton is doing so well that his doctor asked if we wanted to take him back to Missouri Baptist so we were closer to home. We have decided to keep the little guy at SLCH for the duration so that he can get the best care, plus he has his own room at SLCH! Our little guy is up to 1140 grams which is the equivelant of about 2 lbs 8 ounces. The doctor said he needs to be up to 1800 grams or 4 pounds for him to come home, so we will now be counting up the grams to get him home. He loves to be held by mom and dad. He gave us a couple of cute smiles today too.

I will attempt to find the camera cord tomorrow and if that is not successful I will be buying one! Have to go to bed now, if my mom and dad see what time I posted this I will be in trouble!

Clayton Robert Murphy

Our little guy has graduated!! As of today Clayton has a new team of nurse practitioners because he is doing so well! He is up to 2 pounds 6 1/2 ounces. He is now taking just breast milk and doesn't have to be on the supplemental nutrition. He is still in his little incubator, but they turned off the temperature controls because he has been able to regulate his own temp. He wore his first little outfit, a blue robe yesterday. Grandpa W called it a kimono! :) Clayton is loving his kangaroo time (skin to skin) with mom and dad. He had a fit last night when mom had to put him back in his bed. He has also been giving us plenty of practice at changing some diapers. Last night Justin was holding him and he decided he would poop right out the side of his diaper and on to Justin's hand! I think Jaxson is feeding him some of these ideas! Clayton celebrated his 1 week birthday yesterday and I can't believe how big he has gotten already. The picture above was early in the week so we will get a new one up so everyone can see how much he has filled out.

Justin and I can't thank everyone enough for all the help, calls, thoughts and prayers. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. Clayton can't wait to meet everyone!

Starting Week 35!!!

We have come so far! I really can't believe I have been on bed rest for three weeks now. The days go slow sometimes, but the weeks have flown by. I love Fridays because Justin is home and here to entertain me! :) He put together the second packnplay today and put the mobile up on the crib. The other big project today is figuring out how to use the video camera. We are having the car seats installed tomorrow morning. We were hoping for some more spring weather this weekend, but it looks like the weather is taking a step back with flurries predicted for Saturday. UGH! I think everyone is ready for Spring to be here.

I did have a doctors appointment on Tuesday and everything was good. I still find it amazing that I am measuring 44 (supposed to correlate with how many weeks pregnant you are). Obviously this is completely normal since I have two little ones in there, but amazing at the same time that my skin can stretch that much! We have another ultrasound on Tuesday and a doctors appointment on Friday. That is a crazy busy week for me. HA HA

Justin is being a little bossy about when the babies can come. Last weekend his excuse was the final four and this weekend they can't come because the Masters is on. He better hope our kids appreciate sports as much as he does.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and hopefully I will be posting next week at a month out!

2 Weeks Down!!!

Wow, the belly is mine, but it is still amazing to look at in the picture and see how big it has gotten! The babies have stayed put so far with only a few strong contractions here and there. We are so thankful for the two weeks we already have under our belt. We are aiming for the first week in May, but are happy with everyday that passes. We have another doctor's appointment on Tuesday and then probably a ultrasound later in the week. The babies should be up to about 4 pounds by then.

We are having another great weekend. Justin's parents and sisters came down to visit today. They made a fabulous lunch and Justin's dad helped get the rest of the closet doors up in all the bedrooms. I think we have about all the construction projects crossed off for now. Justin is happy about this!!!!!

We don't want to forget about our first child! Keely has been such a great little girl. She knows something is up and is more than happy to cuddle with mom in bed. She enjoyed the nice weather we finally got today and played frisby and catch with her Aunts and Grandpa. Justin captured the picture below when mom and Keely fell asleep a little early one night.

Keely wanted to get her picture taken too when mom got hers taken!

Thank you again for all your continued thoughts and prayers. We will continue to keep you all updated.

Sarah's Big Day Out!`

(Not a great pic as I look tired, but obviously can't spend much time up so had to snap fast)

Well, as many of you know I am now on bed rest after the twins decided they would test things out and send us to the hospital last Saturday night. Leave it to my kids to have a mind of their own and to already be testing their parents. Things seem to be under control now and with the help of some medicine to relax my uterus we haven't had too many problems. The twins did get steroid shots to help develop their lungs in case they can't wait to come out. Luckily, I think congress has wrapped up their investigation into steroids so they should be safe when they come out! :) No, Justin it doesn't mean they will be throwing spirals on the day they are born. Justin has been great and is taking wonderful care of me and the babies. The poor guy has to do everything, I can't even get socks out of my sock drawer anymore! We were very lucky, as Anna was here last weekend for Easter, so she was able to take care of Keely and helped us out around the house a ton. She is going to be a great Aunt!

I did have a big day out today, as I had a doctor's appointment. Who knew I could get so excited about putting on a pair of shoes and sitting in the Highlander! I will have to say it felt good to actually do my hair and put some make-up on. The doctor said everything was good, and to just keep on doing what I am doing. The twins are really growing now!

Wanted to also give everyone a sneak peak at the nursery. It is kind of hard to capture it in a picture, so everyone will have to come visit and see it in person! Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I should be posting more often since I have a little time on my hands!

The Countdown is On!

I start with a picture because as some of my friends pointed out, Meggie! They get on the blog to see my ever growing stomach. :) I am thinking about charging to log on, $20 and you get to see the big belly lady! I will have to say I do feel like a freak show sometimes. I am sure Justin enjoys watching me try to get socks on in the morning and how my feet have become hands so that I don't have to bend over. Even though my mobility is decreasing by the day, I feel great and I am loving being pregnant! It is hard to believe I am already at the 29 week mark. Most likely they will take me at 37 weeks if I already haven't gone, so that is just 8 weeks away! We can't wait for our babies to get here, but we are thankful for everyday they stay inside me and keep growing.

We have been busy the last three weeks traveling for showers and working on the house. When I say we, I mean I have been going to showers and Justin and his crew (Matt, Tommy, Mom and Dad) have been busy working on the house. Justin's friend Matt came down and took out our banister and put a half wall up around the stairs. (I have to plug Matt's business, Glacier Hills Construction) I love Justin, but I thought I was going to kiss Matt when he got this done! He is a great friend! Tommy fixed a pluming problem we were having. Mom and Dad, well they basically did it all. Last weekend Justin and Dad, put up cribs, put in a closet organizer, moved furniture and much more. My mom is now a member of the St. Louis Merry Maids. She cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.

We are looking forward to staying put here soon as the closer it gets the closer to St. Louis I need to be. Keely is doing great and doesn't seem to be fazed by all the action. She still thinks my stomach is growing so she has a better pillow. We know she will be a great big sister! Hope everyone is doing well and I will get more pics up soon!
